Traveling has a way of taking a lot of energy from you so, I really hope you are finding the tips I am giving, useful.
Today I want to talk about using Rideshare. With all my moving around I have been blessed to get connected with some wonderful people that have filled me in on things that worked out for me. I often use Uber, Lyft and Black car limo services. I traveled to Atlanta recently and I found that when there are conferences or events in town it makes sense to schedule your rides in advance.
When trying to find a ride to your next stop it gets really costly and as a result you will pay extremely more for those rides. If you are using Uber to Lyft it makes so much sense and saves you a ton to pre-plan your arrangements. However, I have also found if it’s really busy sometimes the drivers will cancel your rides at the last minute. This is so not ok!
I have been informing my clients that fly in to Arizona to be photographed by me to let me know their flight itinerary so that I can help to coordinate this for them- this comes standard when you book a photography experience with me. While I use all 3 of the services for my travel arrangements, I prefer to use a car service that helps to keep a small business owner employed.
Times are hard and if I can help another business owner then I will. Believe it or not, the limo “black car” serve I hired in Atlanta was amazing, the ride was extra clean and the price of the ride was significantly cheaper. I took the money I would have given Uber or Lyft and gave it to my driver, as a tip. I am not sure if you’ve ever had a limo service or not but it’s definitely worth it!
So the next time you decide to travel, wether it’s to come see me and get the most amazing images you’ve ever seen of yourself or if you are headed to a luxury vacation in Dubai, always pre-plan and find a way to help out a small business owner. We depend on you !
